MASAAKI HATSUMI SWEDEN TAIKAI 1988 in Stockholm. This was the first time Hatsumi Soke visited the land of the Vikings.
Accompanying him was
– Oguri Shihan,
– Nagato Shihan,
– Noguchi Shihan and
– Navon Shihan.
Doron Navon also acted as the translator.
The theme was Taijutsu and weapons.
Soke taught Bujinkan Taijutsu basics such Koku from Gyokko-ryu. He also taught Taihenjutsu, breakfalls and rolling.
Soke also taught Tehodoki, when one or several people grabs your arm and try to control you. Also Onikudaki technique, Ganseki-nage throwing technique.
More advanced techniques such as Muto-dori, sword evasion techniques was demonstrated.
He also taught Hanbojutsu, stick fighting techniques with a 90 cm long stick or a cane. Many more weapons was taught such as sword, spear, and sticks.
The accompanying Shihan also went up to the stage and did demonstrations. Not only the Japanese but also other teachers from Europe. This was 1988, so there was not so many Shidoshi 5’th Dan level at the time.
