DVD’s are dead

Yes DVD’s are dead, it happened in October, no DVD orders in two months.
So we have closed the DVD store and we will only supply Download Movies from now on.
We are sorry for this, if you still want DVD’s you can download the movie and make your own DVD.

Important if you’re ordering DVD’s from now on

dvd_caseShipping costs is getting higher, we’re not selling as much DVD’s as before, more and more people are happy with the download videos. We are also running out of DVD cases, and we buy them in bulk and they take up office space.

So instead of raising DVD or shipping costs we’re gonna start delivering the DVD’s without the plastic case from now on. When order you will get the DVD and a print out of the cover, but no plastic case.

I guess most of you who buy DVD’s have some system where you store the DVD’s to save space without the plastic cover anyway. If you want a plastic cover you can find it every where, search for “DVD case”.

Dean taught us how to use the knife and pistol. How to carry them, how to draw them, how to use them against unarmed or unarmed opponent. He also taught how to defend against the same kind of attacks.

By learning how to use a knife and a pistol and getting to know how they can be used against someone, you also get a far better understanding how to defend yourself against these weapons. Dean taught us how to use the knife and pistol. How to carry them, how to draw them, how to use them against unarmed or unarmed opponent. These techniques is done with the knowledge and principles of what we learn in Bujinkan Budo-taijutsu from grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi Soke. Hatsumi Soke have asked Dean to teach us the real fighting principles from his experience as he see that many people in Bujinkan only play around without really understanding the true fighting principles that he teach. New Shinken Kata DVD with DEAN ROSTOHAR
Theme: YARI / NAGINATA / MUTODORI.

DVD in NTSC format available from BUDOSHOP.SE
for 269 SEK (Approximately 26 EUR / 38 USD

The theme of the seminar was traditional Japanese long Ninja weapons, Yari (spear) and Naginata (halberd). Kunren Shugyo in Japanese terminology represents the studying of training. Therefore the seminar participants have studied for two days, the ways, the principles, techniques and philosophy of combat with those traditional weapons we use in Bujinkan Ninjutsu.

The ways and techniques of fighting with long weapons are very important for understanding Taijutsu (unarmed combat), because this way we get to know our body and the possibilities of its use through combat techniques.

The techniques with Naginata were done on the first day of the seminar, while techniques with the Yari were done the second day. Also defence against several opponents, combinations with Naginata and sword, and unarmed defence against the Yari was taught.

This is a very good video if you are interested in realistic self-defence and fighting from the Bujinkan system. We also recommend this video to anyone working or interested in security work as a guard or police. Although some of the techniques is not allowed to use in police force/work you can still see how it could be used against you if the opponent is good.

This video was filmed during his seminar in Stockholm, Sweden sponsored by Bujinkan Kaigozan Dojo. September 26-27’th 2009.

With Dean Shihans experience from real fighting in war, and also from his time in the police force in Croatia he certainly know what he is doing. For his full resume, check out his web site… Dean bio or SPECWOG bio
