This post presents the Takagi Yōshin-ryū Jūtaijutsu video with Mats Hjelm. Below, you can find the film details and download information.Complete TAKAGIYOSHIN-RYU JUTAIJUTSU with MATS HJELM was filmed at the Bujinkan Kaigozan Dojo during early to the late fall of 2022. For context, the theme was Takagiyoshin-ryu Jutaijutsu. In addition, the sections below explain the training and download options.
This film has no verbal instruction. Instead, it shows each technique several times from different angles. For more information about this ryu-ha click here! Please also note that this page has several sub-pages with more information.
Moreover, the film demonstrates the techniques from several angles. There is no verbal instruction. Therefore, we highly suggest the Unarmed Fighting Techniques of the Samurai book (what I call the Densho Book by Hatsumi Soke). This book describes the Taijutsu techniques from all the Bujinkan ryu-ha. For students, it is useful for anyone studying the Bujinkan arts.

TAKAGIYŌSHIN-RYŪ JŪTAIJUTSU
First, the video demonstrates all 85 techniques from Masaaki Hatsumi’s book “Unarmed Fighting Techniques of the Samurai.”
Each technique appears from different angles. In the Bujinkan Dojo, no single method applies to every situation. Some approaches may be wrong, while several approaches can work correctly. Therefore, watch the opponent’s reaction and adjust accordingly. Bujinkan Dojo Budo Taijutsu and all the Ryuha are not dogmatic or rigid systems. As a result, each demonstration can look a little different.
Also, the video covers our normal classes at Kaigozan Dojo from the beginning to the end of 2022.
In total, the download contains nine levels and nine video files. In total, they provide 93 minutes of training.
