the store crashed!

Few people are interested in DVD’s these days, we got maybe 1-2 orders a month the last year. We had an SSL / https certificate that just expired, and with that the store crashed. It is not really that important to have https on the store until you check out, so we decided to not extend the SSL certificate. Right now I’m trying to fix the errors so that it will work with just http (unencrypted).

Note, it is not really anymore unsafe if we switch of https on our site because your payments are all handled on PayPal which always is https/SSL encrypted. When the payment is done you get redirected back to our server. We never see your payment details, PayPal tells us if the transaction was done or not, that is all the information we get.

Mean while we will try to speed up and make all our DVD’s available for download except a few, those that is not our productions almost all the Ed Martin DVD’s and half of the Dean Rostohar DVD’s. Almost all the others is our productions and will be available as soon as possible.

I have a feeling that it will be too difficult to fix the store, so you can email us if there is a particular DVD you want to buy. We can make the order manually through PayPal.

The Downloads store was not affected by this.

Look at this page where you can see all our products (I’m updating it now!)

TAIJUTSU & FELDENKRAIS with DORON NAVON

52 minutes, 354 Mb for $14.99

Doron Navon from Israel started training with Hatsumi Sensei in 1968 long before the “ninja-boom”. While in Japan he was also introduced to the Feldenkrais method by the Israeli physicist Moshe Feldenkrais who was an accomplished Martial Artist that came to Japan for a shorter visit. When Doron came back home to Israel in 1974 he deepened his knowledge in the Feldenkrais method directly under Dr Moshe Feldenkrais.

Doron says that the Feldenkrais method is a shortcut to the godan test. This has been confirmed by both Hatsumi Sensei and many other who have studied Taijutsu and Feldenkrais.

This video was recorded in 1994 in Stockholm. It was originally released on VHS and then later as a VCD / Video CD in 2003 by BUDOSHOP.SE hence the quality is VCD PAL (352×288), playing time is 52 minutes. These are very effective and simple self-defence techniques that anyone can learn. You can use a cane, sticks of all sizes, pencils, rolled up magazine or anything with a stick like form.

On this video Mats show all the techniques from the classic “Stick Fighting” book by Hatsumi & Chambers. We recommend you to also buy this book for further studies.

Mats: I recently acquired your DVD on the hanbo. It is by far the best available. I have made a special study of hanbo and cane techniques for the past 10 years and have collected more than 150 books and DVDs on these techniques, so I believe I can make that statement with confidence. Congratulations!

In 1971 Kodansha released a book with Hatsumi Sōke and Quentin Chambers, this book have been a good resource for many martial arts instructors and practitioners, not just within the Bujinkan, and this for a good reason. The techniques from the book is a collection of techniques from various ryū-ha, mostly from Kukishin-ryū. But together with this video, you also get the movements behind the techniques. We recommend you both the book and our video.

We do not sell this book, buy the book from Amazon, click here!

Both the video and the book contains the following techniques…

– 8 basic movement techniques
